Excelsiors.net is a Philippine based software solution provider. I work as freelance programmer that provide development, implementation, training, and documentation per project basis. I have been in doing customized programming since 2000. I am also highly skilled with different software platforms tailor fitted to what your company needs.

A general rule of thumb for me is to start it from scratch. A lot of poeple asked me why I need to start again from the beginning. I always replied that all of the business here are not the same. So, it's better for me to start from a clean slate rather than modifying what I did before.

What are the different types of systems?

• Accounting
  - This system starts with the company's Chart of Accounts. After this, we will now enter the transactions both accounts receivable and payables. This system will now produce the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

  - This system will monitor the invoices issued by the customer or supplier. The modules included here will produce the customer or supplier ledger.

A great example of this theory goes out to all our architects and home owners.

If you want to buy a house, it's best if it has no walls or tiles. That way, you could design the living room, and rooms in your own way.

But if it has walls and all, it would be hard to modify the interior if for example you want to add a new wall or room, right?

That's why I would rather start from scratch rather than tire myself breaking down walls that are already there. The end result will always be what I visioned it to be.
